I am a campus minister, mentoring leaders state wide. As such I am on the road constantly. The IVP Reference Collection provides a traveling library which allows for remote instruction and on-the-spot research for those "out there" without the background or tools. 'One of the best study investments I have made.

It would be "cheap at twice the price".

This is big bang for your buck. I would rate this as the #2 add on module, (with the Graphics DVD Bundle being #1) What you get here is a collection of materials that are mean and lean... no fluff and yet surprisingly comprehensive, thorough and based on good scholarship. The background commentaries are my go to resource when I need a brief quality comment on a scripture passage.

I see this as an essential add on which you will not ever regret purchasing. I wished all quality resource bundles were this inexpensive and full of substance.

The IVP Reference Collection is one of the best values, dollar for dollar, of any collection available in Accordance. Each dictionary offers something helpful and unique, with articles that are generally of enough depth to give the beginner a firm grasp on a subject and the related issues. The Pocket Dictionaries provide a helpful introduction to just about any theological term a student is trying to understand. The background commentaries add color and depth to the reading of the Bible, and this collection includes both the OT and the NT volumes. For anyone looking to enhance their Accordance library with a variety of tools that cover a broad spectrum of topics, the IVP Reference Collection should be at the top of the list.

The IVP black dictionaries are great, but I think the breadth covered by the other bundled books give this package a lot of value. In particular, the OT/NT background commentaries often add a lot to my understanding of a passage, and the atlas is a nice reference. I've also been pleasantly surprised by the helpfulness of the pocket dictionaries module. One drawback of dividing all of this great material into many separate modules (in contrast to one big dictionary like the Anchor Yale) is the extra steps needed to search them as a search all group (which limits your ability to search multiple fields simultaneously) or individually (enough said). This is even more true on iOS, at least for now. However, whenever I have a question, this collection usually has the answer somewhere.

This set includes 14 excellent up-to-date volumes that will provide excellent support for your biblical research. The set includes 4 commentaries; 9 dictionaries and an atlas.

What makes this set special is that most of the volumes are somewhat specialized and unique. The set has two background commentaries, one for the OT and one for the NT; a commentary on "Hard Sayings of the Bible"; and of the 9 dictionaries, 7 are specialized by subject and content. This allows for the user to get research materials beyond what is usually found in other dictionaries or commentaries. It should be noted that there are several OT dictionaries that have not be updated to be included in Accordance as of the date of this review. Hopefully these will be added soon to the collection.
